Costa del Sol Fire Grows to Over 30 Square Miles in Malaga, Spain

Firefighters worked to contain a wildfire near Costa del Sol in Malaga, Spain, on September 13, as the fire reached ​​7,780 hectares (over 30 square miles), according to officials.

Nearly a thousand personnel and more than 50 aircraft were deployed to fight the blaze.

One firefighter died last week in the effort to control the fire, El Pais reported, and two more were injured on Sunday.
