Construction is moving ahead on the Costco planned for the World Golf Village area.

According to Costco's corporate website, the anticipated opening date is June 2022. The media relations department said it does not provide more details on projects more than three months beyond completion.

But plans filed with St. Johns County call for the 162,785-square-foot facility at 655 World Commerce Parkway.

The Buc-ee's phenomenon: Buc-ee's is here and has 5 snacks you probably won't see at other St. Augustine gas stations

It would be the first location in the county for the members-only wholesale club.

The 19-acre parcel is part of a larger commercial complex being developed by the Jacksonville-based Steinemann & Co., under the World Commerce Center name.

The proposal calls for a Costco Warehouse main store, as well as an accessory liquor store, tire center and gas station.

The site is south of the intersection at International Golf Parkway and World Commerce Parkway, just off I-95, north of St. Augustine. The area is adjacent to Ring Power, the International Golf Village and a GreenWise Market.

The large warehouse company joins Buc-ee's as another highly sought-after national chain to move into the area.

Buc-ee's, which opened in February 2021, includes a 120-gas pump facility and a 55,000-square-foot retail store and food counter.
