Costlow, Simons honored as Region's best for week of Aug. 29-Sept. 3
The votes are in and Jessica Costlow and Timmy Simons are the winners.
Costlow, a St. Mary Catholic Central volleyball player, was dominant on the court and at the ballot box. She ran away with the vote for Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week for Aug. 29-Sept. 3.

There were 1,473 votes cast for Football Player of the Week and 598 for Athlete of the Week. Last week there were 1,334 votes for football and 677 for Athlete when Cooper Nye of Airport (327) and Carlson’s Luis Jasso (232) were the winners.
New polls will be posted Sunday.
