Costumed crowd gathers for October Selfie Bash at Dwalls Studio

The Dwalls Studio brought the community out to embrace their photogenic walls at their October Selfie Bash event on Saturday. Vendors filled the large space with their different goods including clothes, handmade jewelry, treats, and so much more.

People of all ages were dressed up in their costumes, gathering candy and goods at the event.

"We love to support our community and the safe space this has created for our babies," said Maritza Green, one of the attendees enjoying the Selfie Bash.

Free Cheese Prints was at this event with their handmade Texas and Amarillo inspired designs.

“We missed Dwalls' last pop-up event, but look at this place. How could we not participate? It’s so cool; this is the kind of vibe we want to be a part of. This is an ideal place for us to put our products. We focus on soft T-shirts and soft prints that are going to last as long as the shirt,” said Reesa Atkinson, owner of Free Cheese Prints. “Tate, my husband and co-owner, couldn’t be here because he’s making some custom signs. It's mostly him and I pushing out all these products.”

OMC Soapworkz Amarillo was selling spooky bath bombs that could catch any one's eye with their intricate designs and bold colors.

“We wanted to get out into the community, and there was no better way to do that than at this upbeat event. I make bath bombs, bath salts, soap, and wax melts," said Julie Langley, owner, and creator of OMC Soapworkz Amarillo. "If it involves some self-care bath products, I make it. At the end of the year, I make mystery boxes for around $25. I have started to dive into wax melts. I’m also testing some products that will be coming in the future.”

For anyone done eating from the food trucks outside craving something sweet, they could step inside the studio and find Sayso's Sweets & Eats selling different kinds of goodies.

“I was at the last selfie event Dwalls Studio had. I knew I had to come back because it is so nice to meet people from the community and be able to give them all the treats I make," said Amy Sayso, Owner of Sayso’s Sweets & Eats. "I only do pop-ups, so if you see me out, don’t be afraid to stop by my booth. I made some brown sugar rice crispy treat mummies, pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies, and a wide range of macaroons. I get so much joy seeing people take that first bite and seeing their face light up.”

Izik Ochoa and Ana Ibarra, the owners of Dwalls Studio, expressed their gratitude during the event by walking around and making sure guests were comfortable and enjoying their event.

“This is so amazing. We get to see all the local vendors and try their delicious food. It warms our hearts seeing people enjoy what this studio is all about,” Ibarra said.

“It feels amazing being here for a year. Once you come past these doors, people will see what it’s all about. We can’t thank the community enough for coming out to our event and believing in us,” Ochoa said.
