Costumes ready? No shortage of Halloween happenings
Wondering where your children can score free goodies this Halloween season? For your convenience, we compiled a list of Trunk or Treats in our readership area.
Parents, churches, businesses and former trick-or-treaters band together to create fun experiences for children. Kids visit from trunk to trunk and biz to biz to collect candy, stickers, pencils, tattoos, certificates and other prizes.
Halloween tailgaters go all out and decorate their rides with spooky spider webs, monsters, witches, jack-o'-lantern lights, skeletons and other Halloween-themed items.
Devoted adult kids get in the spirit and don costumes themselves while they show off their transformed trunks. Many trunk or treats are just one hairy arm of a beastly event. Some hosts include activities like scary movies, carnival-type games, bonfires, car shows and costume contests for people, cars, bikes and pets.
