‘Tranquil’ two-bedroom cottage put up for sale for just £15,000
A two-bedroom cottage in Scotland is up for sale for just £15,000, but of course, there’s a catch.
The derelict property in Argyll and Bute needs a complete renovation – but the seller said it would make the perfect holiday cottage when done up.
Situated on the southernmost tip of the Mull of Kintyre, the cottage is close to beaches and boasts a garden with stunning views.
The cottage was due to be sold at Auction House Scotland’s in-room auction on Friday in Glasgow with a guide price of £15,000.

Mandi Cooper, Managing Director of Auction House Scotland, said the cottage could make the perfect holiday home for tourists.

It comes after one of the UK's most remote cottages went on sale for £300,000.

Three Blea Moor Cottages, in Whernside, North Yorkshire, is a 20-minute walk from the nearest official parking spot and is not accessible by road.
The former railway worker's property is entirely surrounded by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales.
If you purchase it for the £300,000 asking price, it will need an extensive renovation, with the walls being completely bare.
The property, situated next to England's most remote signal box on the Settle to Carlisle train line, has no mains services available in the house.

Three Blea Moor Cottages is being sold by estate agents Fisher Hopper.
The cottage was originally built for workers by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway behind the world wars, and is the last survivor of a row of three properties.
When it was last occupied, electricity was generated through a windmill and water was transported by a trailer.
