Could the Super Bowl 57 MVP be won by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts after accounting for three touchdowns in the first half?

Hurts has gone 17 of 22 for 183 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 63 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries as the Eagles lead the Chiefs 24-14 at halftime.

Hurts is trying to join Bart Starr and Joe Namath as former Alabama players to be named Super Bowl MVP. Hurts is trying to also join Starr, Namath and Ken Stabler as former Alabama quarterbacks to lead their team to a Super Bowl title.

Hurts played for Alabama from 2016-18, leading the Crimson Tide to two National Championship appearances and two SEC Championships. He transferred to Oklahoma before being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He started in 15 games this season leading the Eagles to the NFC No. 1 seed while accounting for more than 4,400 and 35 touchdowns.

Hurts is joined on the Eagles by former Crimson Tide stars Devonta Smith, Landon Dickerson and Josh Jobe. Smith, the 2020 Heisman winner, has caught six of Hurts' passes for 55 yards.
