Could the next Studio Ghibli project be a Star Wars film starring Grogu?

Studio Ghibli’s official Twitter account recently posted a photo of a Grogu figurine, hinting that the animation studio’s upcoming collaboration with Lucasfilm will be a Star Wars project.

On Thursday, Studio Ghibli tweeted a mysterious video teaser. The video, which has already amassed over 9.8 million views and 327,000 likes, solely features the Studio Ghibli and Lucasfilm logos without any additional text or background music.

In Studio Ghibli’s most recent tweet, which has already garnered over 49,000 likes, a figurine of Grogu — Baby Yoda from Disney Plus’ “The Manadalorian — is featured in front of an out-of-focus individual who appears to be Miyazaki, given his iconic gray sweater, glasses and white hair.

The tweet came days after the Disney Plus Italy Twitter account accidentally leaked news that a Grogu short is set to debut on Saturday. The now-deleted tweet revealed that the short is titled “Star Wars Zen - Grogu and the Dust Bunnies.”
