Thanksgiving is, like, three weeks away, which means it's time to start thinking about where you're going to buy your turkey from. Well, if you're an Amazon Prime member, buying your turkey from Whole Foods could save you a good chunk of change.
Whole Foods and Amazon announced its Thanksgiving deals for 2019 this weekend and the grocery chain is offering Amazon Prime members 50 cents off per pound of turkey.
Here's how it works: Customers can choose from between organic and classic turkeys. If you're not a Prime member, these will cost you $3.49/lb and $2.49/lb respectively. But if you're a Prime member, they'll cost you $2.99/lb for organic and $1.99/lb for classic turkeys, adding up to a 50 cent/lb savings.
While that may not seem like a lot, think about it: It's generally recommended that you buy 1 pound (or more!) of turkey per person, so if you're hosting 10 guests, that's $5 savings. Just think of it as an investment into your Black Friday shopping fund.
This deal on turkeys starts November 13 and goes through November 28 (AKA Thanksgiving) while supplies last. If you want to make sure you get the deal, you can reserve a turkey in advance by going to holiday.wholefoodsmarket.com and then picking it up in store. If you're a Prime member, you'll be eligible for the discount once you pick it up.
Now that you have your turkey figured out, it's on to the important things like, what will you be drinking while you cook it?
