After all the commotion “The Eras Tour'' created nationwide and the fans who missed out on the big show seeing “Red,” it only makes sense that their “Wildest Dreams” come true with a chance to experience Taylor Swift in their local theaters.

Starting Oct. 13, “The Eras Tour: Concert Film,” a two-hour and 40-minute cinematic production displaying candid film from Swift’s megatour will be available on every AMC Theatre screen – including AMC Tallahassee 20, inside The Centre of Tallahassee.

Swift’s “The Eras Tour" is a record-breaking international tour that initially spanned from March to August, with additional performances now added for 2024. The concerts spanned across Europe and North America, including three sold-out shows at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. The extended tour includes three shows slated for the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Oct. 18-20, 2024.

The three-hour concert honored nearly 50 songs from the performer's decades-long career with songs performed from each of her album cycles. The tour broke records in ticket sales for a single artist in history, the most attended concert for a female artist in United States history and most Ticketmaster registrations for a tour.

The film's premiere weekend starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13. It will be available for viewing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in AMC theaters across the country until Nov. 5.

The 12-time Grammy award winner announced on her personal X, formerly known as Twitter, account that the concert would be available for viewing by dropping a one-minute and 20-second trailer to tease the cinematicproduction.

Swift shared in her early morning Aug. 31 post: “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon. Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk).”

It didn’t take long for fans to react to the social media post, generating over 50 million views, 123,000 reposts, and over half a million likes as of Thursday morning.

The film’s hosting venue, AMC Theatres, announced that fans were swift to secure their tickets for the big show.

“Thursday’s ticket sales represented $26 million in ticket-sales revenue, a new record for ticket sales for a single title on one day at AMC,” AMC Theatres said in its September 1 release.

The last record for 24-hour ticket sales revenue was for “Spider-Man: No Way Home," which was released on Dec. 17, 2021. The Marvel film generated $16.9 million.

To accommodate the crowds, AMC Tallahassee 20 will have several auditoriums open at once to show the film.

The theater's largest auditorium holds 372 seats and features the popular IMAX format.

The IMAX auditorium, prized for its sound quality, is the first auditorium to be nearly sold out with only a handful of seats left available for purchase.

Many of the other showtimes and auditoriums are following suit with tickets selling quickly for the opening weekend.

Tallahassee prepares for the surge in guests

Christine Smith, a theater associate said in an interview with the Tallahassee Democrat, that her team is prepared for the surge and showings.

“We make sure we have plenty of staff to keep everybody happy,” Smith said.

Smith shared that she has seen the local theater’s seats fill up for other films like “The Little Mermaid,” “Mission Impossible” and some religion-themed films, and has no doubt the team will be able to handle Swifties from every walk of life.

Tickets are now available for purchase on the official The Era Tour ticket site or on the AMC Theatre site.

Prices start at $19.89 for adult tickets, children’s and senior tickets start at $13.13. These are the regular prices and exclude AMC Theatre’s branded premium large-format screens like IMAX.
