Council on Aging holiday luncheon and annual meeting set for Dec. 15

PETOSKEY — The Friendship Centers of Emmet County, Council on Aging, will present its ‘Tis the Season Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Petoskey Friendship Center.

The event will feature holiday music by the River Run Band. A lunch, featuring prime rib sponsored by Dr. Eimers Hearing Clinic and Angel Heart Home Care, will be served tableside by Friendship Centers staff. The event will also have an end-of-year review from the board of directors and the accounting firm of Rasmussen, Teller, and Caron, P.C.

All seniors age 60 and over and their spouses are invited to attend for a minimum suggested donation of $3 per person. Guests must be seated by 11:30 a.m. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call the Petoskey Friendship Center at (231) 347-3211 to sign up. If Petoskey Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the lunch will be served on Friday, Dec. 16.

A 50/50 raffle drawing will take place during the event. The winner will be announced at the end of the event and must be present to win.
