As counter-offensive drags on, Zelenskyy claims wins over Black Sea Fleet, Crimea raids as successes

While Ukraine’s counter-offensive faces challenges, Ukraine remains strong and has made important gains, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a Nov. 21 interview with Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall.
When asked about criticisms that Ukraine's counter-offensive was "not going according to plan" and sent a "bad message,” Zelenskyy highlighted Ukraine’s progress in both the Black Sea and commando raids on Russian-occupied Crimea.

"It's not just a good message. It’s true," the president stated.
“But I just want to say that we remain strong. It’s hard for us. Yes, we need more successful results on the battlefield, but this is necessary, first and foremost, for us.”
Ukraine has indeed destroyed part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, forcing its ships to move, and now they do not have such a "total" influence on the Black Sea region, Zelenskyy said.
When it comes to results on the battlefield, Ukrainians need strength the most and added that the counter-offensive is "not a movie" and "cannot be magic every day."

On Nov. 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would try to achieve results on the battlefield by the end of 2023.
On Nov. 14, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that the Defense Forces are successfully pushing the Russian Black Sea Fleet out of Crimea.
Earlier, in an interview with Radio NV, former U.S. Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges suggested asking the Russian Black Sea Fleet commander about the success of Ukraine's counter-offensive.
