Fans cheered as country duo Florida Georgia Line took to the stage at the Iowa Speedway on Saturday — Tyler Hubbard sporting his signature baseball cap and Brian Kelley donning a cowboy hat — kicking off their show with hit song "Round Here."

The band performed at 5:30 p.m. Saturday after the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 Presented By DoorDash. Florida Georgia Line — known for songs like "Cruise," "This is How We Roll" and "H.O.L.Y." — was last in Iowa for a performance on the Grandstand at the Iowa State Fair in 2018.

The duo kept the crowd's energy going with "Up Down," followed by the song "I Love My Country," which they dedicated to Iowa. Next in the lineup was "This is How We Roll" and "God, Your Mama and Me."

When Hubbard stopped to take a drink between songs, he joked with the crowd about the contents of his cup.

"Bud Light — I don't know if that counts as hydration, but I think it does," Hubbard said.

Florida Georgia Line continued the show with "Smooth." As they began to sing "H.O.L.Y.", a piano-driven love ballad, couples danced and hugged in the crowd.

"We've been to Iowa a few times and there are such special people here," Hubbard said to the crowd. "So much heart, so much energy."

The band continued the show with "Long Live," "Stay," "May We All," "Sippin' on Fire," and "Dirt".

"We're a couple of country boys from Florida and Georgia," Hubbard told the crowd between songs. "We never thought we'd be hanging out with you guys in Iowa."

During the song "Confession," Kelley came down from the stage, shaking the hands of audience members crowded near the front.

The duo played "Anything Goes," "Simple," and "Get Your Shine On" before Hubbard stopped the show to acknowledge a woman in the crowd who had been holding up a cowboy boot in the hopes the band would sign it.

"This girl right here, she's been holding her boot up the whole show. Your arm must be tired, but you're awesome, let's do this," Hubbard said, taking the boot and marker. "I'm going to need another Sharpie, this one's dry as a bone."

Another marker materialized, and the duo both signed the boot and passed it back to the woman as Hubbard said, "Hey, get her a beer. And get me one. Get us all one."

They kicked the show back into gear with "Meant to Be" and "Lil Bit," before wrapping up the night with the fan-favorite "Cruise". The crowd bounced, clapped and sang along as the duo played their final song.

"Iowa, we love y'all, thank you very much," Hubbard said as the two left the stage.

Florida Georgia Line was formed in 2010 by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. Their 2012 debut single "Cruise" was downloaded over seven million times, making it the first ever country song to receive the Diamond certification.

Florida Georgia Line released their fifth studio album, "Life Rolls On," in February 2021, the last project from the duo before they announced they would be taking a break to pursue their solo careers.

The IndyCar performance was one of a handful of tour dates Florida Georgia Line promised to finish out before the band's break.
