It's that time of the year again!

New Bern's largest annual festival promises to bring days of food, music and plenty of entertainment during the event that brings the masses to downtown New Bern.

MumFest 2022 takes place Oct. 8-9 beginning at 10 a.m. with other events continuing throughout the month of October including a MumFest concert and MumFeast.

This year's event will feature amusement rides, musical guests, motorcycle and K-9 demonstrations presented by the city of New Bern Police Department, helicopter demos, a Flippenout Trampoline Show and much more.

Saturday, Oct. 8

Pepsi Stage at Swiss Bear Middle Street and Alphagraphics Pollock Street

  • 10 a.m. – Justin Castellano

  • 11:30 a.m. – Joe Baes

  • 2 p.m. – Bonafides

Miller Lite Beer Garden at Alphagraphics Pollock Street and City of New Bern Craven Street. Admission is free and open to everyone but must be 21 or older to purchase beer.

  • 12:30 p.m. – Big Jim Kohler

  • 3:30 p.m. – Joe Brown Band

  • 5:30 p.m. – Bridge Atlantic

Sunday, Oct. 9

Miller Lite Beer Garden live music at Alphagraphics Pollock Street and City of New Bern Craven Street, free admission, open to all but must be 21 or older to enjoy the beer presented by Miller Lite / Coastal Beverage

  • 1 p.m. – Bryan Mayer

  • 3 p.m. – Brooke White

Mumfest

The 2022 WRNS MumFest Concert on Oct. 14 at Lawson Creek Park will feature CMA New Artist of the Year Jimmie Allen. Opening for Jimmie Allen is George Birge and Justin West.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m.

Lawn chairs are permitted in general admission and premium, but they will need to be removed from their carrying cases to go through security. Free parking is available at Temple Church, 1500 Kingdom Way.

Only clear plastic backpacks, purses, or bags are permitted in the venue. No outside food, beverages, coolers, pitchers, weapons, or tailgating are allowed. Food, beer and hard seltzer will be available for purchase.

You cannot record or video the concert, however, phone cameras are permitted.

VIP tickets are $100, premium view tickets are $35 and general admission is $25.

Feasting in the streets

Additionally, 'Feasting in the Streets' will be held Oct. 21-22. Downtown streets will be closed to vehicles and open to pedestrians Friday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. until Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11 p.m. Participating restaurants will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and stores can join in by selling a unique mix of merchandise on the sidewalks and streets and there will be 16 artisan and retail vendors.
