Country music superstar Chris Stapleton plays Des Moines this summer

Country music star Chris Stapleton will be making a stop in Des Moines this June while on his All-American Road Show tour.

Stapleton is set to perform June 22 at the Wells Fargo Arena, 233 Center St., as part of a series of headline shows produced by Live Nation, according to a news release. Tickets will be on sale next Friday, Feb.10, at 10 a.m., though Stapleton's fan club will have early access and VIP packages starting Feb. 7-9.

Some of Stapleton's biggest hits include "Tennessee Whiskey," "Broken Halos" and "You Should Probably Leave."

Citi cardholders also have access to pre-sale tickets through the Citi Entertainment program. In addition to the tour dates, Stapleton is scheduled to perform the national anthem at the Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12 on FOX.

Stapleton is an eight-time Grammy, 15-time CMA and 10-time ACM award-winner, according to the news release. Most recently, he was named CMA Male Vocalist of the Year for the sixth time, a first for the category. His latest album, "Starting Over," won Best Country Album at the 67th Grammys and earned Album of the Year honors at the 54th CMA Awards and 56th ACM Awards. In 2017, Stapleton received a pair of platinum releases "From A Room: Volume One" and "From A Room: Volume Two." His break-through album "Traveller" was a five time Platinum.

Stapleton performed at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand in 2021, setting a record for attendance with 17,320 fans at the show.
