Country singer Jimmie Allen accused of rape by former manager
Country singer Jimmie Allen is being sued by a former business manager who alleges Allen raped her and continually sexually assaulted her over the course of their 18-month working relationship.
The woman filed the suit as “Jane Doe,” and claims Allen took her virginity after she was hired right out of college to be his day-to-day manager, reports TMZ.
The incident allegedly occurred in a Los Angeles hotel room following Allen’s guest appearance on “American Idol” in March 2021. The woman says the two went to dinner with industry executives before she somehow lost consciousness and later awoke confused, naked and bleeding in Allen’s hotel room.
“She realized she had lost her virginity through no choice of her own and felt she had betrayed her faith,” the suit reads. It adds that Allen forced her to take Plan B after the event, forcibly kissing her and telling her, “You’re mine now.”
In the documents, the woman claims Allen eventually escalated the sexual harassment.
Details of grabbing her breasts and butt, placing his hand down her pants in public and “harassing her to engage in sexual conduct” paint a picture of long-term abuse that took place in cars, green rooms and airplanes as the two traveled together.
The woman alleges that Allen “raped her in private while choking her” and “videotaped multiple sexual encounters in order to blackmail her to stay silent.”
Allen addressed the accusations in a statement to People Magazine.
“It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever,” he said on Thursday.
“I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship — one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely,” Allen added.
The allegations and lawsuit comes after news broke last month that Allen and his pregnant wife, Alexis Gale, are splitting up after three years of marriage.
