Country star Chris Lane to appear on South Dakota float in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade

Country superstar Chris Lane will appear on South Dakota Tourism's float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year.

This is the Department of Tourism's 12th year appearing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Mount Rushmore's American Pride float.

According to the department, the goal of the appearance is to drive new and repeat visitors to South Dakota, in addition to creating brand awareness. The parade is seen by an estimated 50 million TV viewers and streamers.

Chris Lane has a number of Billboard top hits under his belt, including "Fix," "I Don't Know About You," and "Big, Big Plans," and has opened for artists like Chris Young, Eli Young Band and Florida Georgia Line.

The Mount Rushmore mascots will join Chris Lane on the float.

The parade will air on NBC-TV and online from 9 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.
