Born and raised in Arlington, Morris began playing music as a teenager, releasing her first album in 2005 when she was 15. She moved to Nashville about a decade ago, finding early success as a co-writer of country hits for Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson and others.

Morris signed with Columbia Nashville for her 2016 major-label debut "Hero," which included the Grammy-winning single "My Church." Her latest album, "Humble Quest," came out earlier this year and is nominated for album of the year at November's CMA Awards.

Morris also is a member of country supergroup the Highwomen, alongside Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby. The quartet's 2019 debut album earned awards from the Grammys, CMT and the Americana Music Association.

A final taping for the show's 48th season will be announced next month.
