Country stars Hardy, Lainey Wilson and Dylan Marlowe to play Tuscaloosa Amphitheater

Country singer-songwriter Hardy will play the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1, with opening acts Lainey Wilson and Dylan Marlowe, according to Birmingham-based Red Mountain Entertainment, which books and runs the venue.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, through www.ticketmaster.com, or at the Amp box office, 2710 Jack Warner Parkway. They will be priced at $101.25, $91.25, $61.25, $41.25, not counting taxes and fees.

Michael Wilson Hardy was born and grew up in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and earned a degree in songwriting from Middle Tennessee State University, moving to Nashville after graduation. He became a writing partner of the duo Florida Georgia Line, and has also written songs for Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, Dallas Smith, Thomas Rhett, and Morgan Wallen.

He's cut a couple of mixtapes with other artists, a pair of EPs, and his debut disc "A Rock" came out in 2020. His second and newest album, "The Mockingbird & the Crow," came out in January, and shot to No. 1 on country charts. His hit singles include "Rednecker," "One Beer," "Wait in the Truck" (featuring Wilson), and "Jack." He co-wrote and performed on Dallas Smith's No. 1 hit "Some Things Never Change."

Lainey Denay Wilson was raised in Baskin, Louisiana, and at the age of 9, found her calling while visiting the Grand Ole Opry. Before finishing high school, she had cut an EP, and taken a string of gigs impersonating Hannah Montana. After graduation, she moved to Nashville in 2011, released a self-titled album in 2014, a second disc, "Tougher," in 2016 and a 2018 EP that lead to a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV.

She has since cut a pair of major label albums, "Sayin' What I'm Thinkin' " in 2021 and "Bell Bottom Country" in 2022. Wilson's had hits with "Things a Man Oughta Know," and "Heart Like a Truck." She was featured on Hardy's "Wait in the Truck," and on Cole Swindell's No. 1 "Never Say Never."

Statesboro, Georgia's Dylan Marlowe moved to Nashville just before the pandemic, but has nonetheless been gaining a name as a singer-songwriter through tracks "All About It," "Where I Come From (Coming Out)," and "Goodbye Gets Around." His country rewrite of Olivia Rodrigo's pop hit "Driver's License" went viral on TikTok, and has scored more than a million views on YouTube.”

  • Aug. 22: 50 Cent, with Busta Rhymes and Jermih. 7 p.m.

  • Sept. 8: Parker McCollum with Jackson Dean. 7:30 p.m.

  • Oct. 6: Maxwell with Musiq Soulchild and Leela James, 7 p.m.
