Country supergroup The Frontmen set to perform at Mustang Sally on Nov. 10

Three of the biggest voices of '90s country music are coming to Monroe.

Country supergroup The Frontmen − consisting of Restless Heart lead singer Larry Stewart, former Lonestar lead singer Richie McDonald and former Little Texas lead singer Tim Rushlow − will be performing on Friday, Nov. 10 at Mustang Sally, 207 Olive Street.

The trio has over 30 #1 hits, over 30 million records sold and over 50 Top 40 hits combined.

They initially got together as a touring act in 2010, performing shows for soldiers with their acoustic guitars in the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan. Rushlow said the three recognized that there was something special about them performing together.

"A lot of lead singers they're just lead singers," he said. "They've got the background vocalists and then you've got your lead singers, and a lot of lead singers don't play well with others. That is known. We really sing good together. We sound great together, like brothers, and although we're vastly different voices and we've fronted different bands, we sing really good together."

The trio eventually began touring the United States as "The Frontmen" − performing songs from their respective bands and signed with BBR Music Group in March with plans of recording an album with new music.

"There's been a huge resurgence in the '90s country music and so the timing is kind of surreal that our older songs from 25 years ago are getting played on the radio like they're hits again and so there's a curiosity about what are we up to," Rushlow said. "Well, here we are. So we're not only playing the hits people know us for but we've got this new record that we're very excited about. This project is deep, it's an awesome collection of songs that really showcase what we do [and] what we sound like.

"We take care of ourselves and we work really hard and strive to sound great, and to sing great," he said. "The timing seems to be very much on our side right now."

The trio's has several singles, including covers of Lonestar and Little Texas's chart topping hits "Amazed" and "God Blessed Texas," available on Apple Music. Their full-length album, set to feature 12-16 songs, will be released in 2024.

Rushlow said fans can expect to hear nostalgic '90s country hits as well as some of the trio's new music.
