County, city buildings in Port Huron to close at 2:30 p.m. July 12

Several local government offices in downtown Port Huron will close early July 12.

The 2:30 p.m. closures will be due to the city closing several streets to make way for the Rotary International Day Parade later that day.

According to a news release, that includes St. Clair County's administration building at 200 Grand River Ave., the county courthouse at 201 McMorran Blvd., the public defender's office at 302 Michigan St., and the main branch of the St. Clair County Library System at 210 McMorran Blvd.

All offices will resume normal business hours on Thursday, July 13.

The city of Port Huron's offices at the Municipal Office Center, 100 McMorran Blvd., were also set to close at 2:30 p.m. on July 12 to accommodate traffic.

The parade is set to start at 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Glenwood and Huron avenues, head south to Oak Street, and end at Desmond Landing.
