County National Bank announces three employee promotions, addition of commercial lender

HILLSDALE — Three employees have been promoted and a commercial lender was recently added to the team of financial and banking associates at Hillsdale-based County National Bank.

Ron Haber, Kelly Lantis and Ray Briner earned promotions with the community bank, and Pat Gilpin joined CNB in April as assistant vice president, commercial loan officer, a news release from CNB said.

Haber has been promoted to regional vice president, commercial loan officer. He joined CNB in June 2005 as second vice president, commercial loans for the Lenawee County market. He has been in banking for more than 44 years, the release said, and has developed many key business relationships that have “resulted in the steady growth of his loan portfolio,” the release said. He is described as active in the Hudson community and throughout Lenawee County working with different organizations and “looks forward to increasing his involvement in Hillsdale County.”

Lantis has been promoted to vice president for the Hillsdale market as an executive and commercial credit officer. She joined CNB in 1988 and currently manages the credit department, which, the release said, she helped establish in 1988. As Hillsdale market executive, Lantis will continue to oversee the commercial credit and processing functions as well as focus on overall business development and continued growth of the Hillsdale market. She is active in the community and serves on local boards including the Hillsdale Woman’s Club, Chi Omega Sorority, Woman’s Life Insurance Society and the Hillsdale County Community Foundation. She is also the Hillsdale Township treasurer.

Briner received a promotion to assistant vice president, private banking officer. He was a credit analyst when he joined CNB in 2009 and then moved into the role of commercial lender in November 2019, the release said. Briner is a graduate of the International Business College and has a Bachelor of Science degree in business, majoring in accounting. He currently serves as secretary of the Hillsdale Exchange Club, treasurer of the Hillsdale County Fair, coaches for the Hillsdale Recreation Department and volunteers for the Hillsdale Athletic Boosters Club. Briner previously served on the Hillsdale City Council and regularly participates in bank-sponsored events.

Pat Gilpin

Gilpin’s career in banking began in 1984 and since then she has held many positions within the financial and banking industry, the release said. Most recently, Gilpin was assistant vice president, banking center manager, at a local financial institution. She serves as treasurer for the Hudson Kiwanis Club, the release said, and also volunteers for the Lenawee Community Foundation, the Addison Senior Center and Junior Achievement.

County National Bank operates within Hillsdale, Lenawee, Jackson and Calhoun counties.
