Couple who lost their engagement ring gets sweet surprise from Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen helped bring some holiday cheer on her show on Thursday by giving a recently engaged couple who was down on their luck a big surprise.

John Drennan asked Daniella Anthony to marry him in Central Park recently, but later that day, while walking around Times Square, the ring fell down a grate. Daniella was devastated. Two Police officers and a few good Samaritans worked together for an hour and a half to find the piece of jewelry, but, sadly, it was never recovered.

Ellen discovered that the police officers were so determined to find it, they returned the next day and finally located the stunning diamond. Ellen decided to step in to reunite the ring with its rightful owners.

John and Daniella were overjoyed and, in a truly heart-warming moment, John got down on one knee and proposed once more.
