The Repository is taking nominations for the Courage Award for the Stark County High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this June. More details about the program are coming soon.
The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.
Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email sports editor Chris Beaven at firstname.lastname@example.org. Nomination deadline is Feb. 28.
The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show.
