The Journal Sentinel is now taking nominations for the Courage Award for the Milwaukee High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this spring. More details about the program are coming soon.

The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.

Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email Mark Stewart at mark.stewart@jrn.com. Nomination deadline is Feb. 28.

The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.
