The Daytona Beach Journal is now taking nominations for the Kayne Finley Courage Award for the Volusia-Flagler-St. Johns High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this spring. More details about the program are coming soon. The show is produced with the help of Halifax Health.

The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.

Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email Zachary Dean at zach.dean@news-jrnl.com. Nomination deadline is Feb. 28.

The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.
