The Savannah Morning News is now taking nominations for the Courage Award for the Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards show, presented by Georgia Ports Authority, which will be back as a live event this spring. More details about the program are coming soon. The show is produced with the support of Chatham Orthopaedic Associates.

The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.

Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email Sports Content Editor Nathan Dominitz at ndominitz@savannahnow.com. The nomination deadline is Feb. 28.

The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.
