Courage Award nominees wanted for Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Area High School Sports Awards

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune is now taking nominations for the Courage Award for the Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Area High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this spring. More details about the program are coming soon.

The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.

Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email Scott Peterson at scott.peterson@heraldtribune.com. Nomination deadline is Feb. 28.

The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.

The Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Area High School Sports Awards High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
