Court blocks federal judge’s ruling to overturn CA assault weapon ban

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked a federal ruling that overturned California’s longtime ban on assault weapons. The three-judge panel issued a stay on the judge’s ruling. California Attorney General Rob Bonta says that means the state’s current assault weapons laws will remain in effect while the proceedings move forward.
