Luis Gonzalez, 49, of 13 Merrifield St., Worcester, was sentenced to 1 to 1½ years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to possession of heroin with intent to distribute. The charge was amended from possession of heroin with intent to distribute (subsequent offense). A charge of distribution of heroin (subsequent offense) was dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.

David Hernandez, 35, of 136 Culley St., Fitchburg, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and having a firearm with a defaced serial number. The charges were nol prossed. A nol pros, or nolle prosequi, is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor’s decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought.

Moises G. Garcia, 32, of Pascagoula, Miss., was charged with trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium and driving with a suspended license. The charges were nol prossed.
