Courtland Hawks to reunite Dec. 10

Dec. 2—COURTLAND — Graduates of Courtland High School when the mascot was the Hawks are invited to a Christmas celebration at the Coffey Center in Trinity on Dec. 10 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Event organizer Nancy Coffey Giles, a 1968 graduate of Courtland High, said the event is free of charge to the graduates and their guests. She said the school was called the Hawks during the 1960s, before changing to the Chiefs in the early 1970s.

"We haven't had an event since 2019 because of the pandemic," she said. "We're looking forward to seeing our former classmates at this reunion."

She said the Coffey 24 Band will perform. Attendees are asked to bring finger food to share with others. For more information and to reply for an RSVP, call Giles at 256-616-8824,
