Coventry nets win over Canton

Oct. 14—COVENTRY — Charlotte Jordan had 13 kills, two digs, six service points and an ace to help lift Coventry to a 25- 6, 25-15, 26-24 North Central Connecticut Conference sweep over Canton on Wednesday at Matthew J. Hurlock Gymnasium.

Abby Polo added 28 assists, five kills, 10 digs, two aces and six service points for the Patriots (9-4 overall, 9- 1 league).

Lindsey Harrington finished with eight kills and 11 digs while Molly Bushnell won 12 service points with four aces and nine digs for Coventry.

In other matches. ... Carlee DeRoehn ( 7 aces, 5 digs, 9 kills, 7 assists) and Erica Arpin (8 digs) highlighted Lyman Memorial's 25-18, 25-11, 25- 16 Eastern Connecticut Conference Division III victory over Plainfield in Lebanon.

Kassidy LaTour had four digs, five kills and 14 assists for the Bulldogs ( 10- 4 overall, 3- 0 league). Arianna Garcia added three aces and 16 digs while Mia Attardi had four aces and seven digs.

Alyssa Czymr served six aces for Windham Tech ( 1- 13) in a 25- 17, 25- 14, 25- 20 Connecticut Technical Conference loss to Goodwin Tech ( 10- 4) in New Britain.

Nina Buczynski ( 40 assists, 14 digs, 3 aces) and A.J. Sharpe (18 kills, 3 blocks) led Conard (10-2) in a 25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 25- 21 Central Connecticut Conference inter- division victory over RHAM (10-2) in Hebron.

Lani Fecho had 20 kills and 20 digs while Nina Jobes dished off 26 assists, Sarah West added 10 kills and five blocks and Ally Hadley contributed seven aces and four kills for the Raptors.

Bella Mallory had nine kills and three blocks and Maya Morales 20 digs for E.O. Smith (3-9) in a 25-9, 25-15, 24-26, 25-13 CCC inter-division loss to Bristol Central ( 10- 4) in Storrs.

GIRLS SOCCER

Chloe Rapose scored goals in each half as East Granby handed Lyman Memorial its first loss of the season, 2-0, in a non- conference game.

Phoebe Carpenter made five saves in goal for the Bulldogs (9-1-1).
