Coveted recruit picks Michigan football over Ohio State

The big visit weekend for Michigan football has at least one tangible, positive result.

The Wolverines hosted 2023 Portsmouth (Virginia) Churchland four-star athlete Brandyn Hillman this weekend. Going into the visit, he was expected to choose between the maize and blue and rival Ohio State. Hillman originally pledged to and signed with rival Notre Dame, but he petitioned to get out of his national letter of intent.

Apparently the visit was a big success. Hillman announced on Twitter that he is committing to Michigan football. He’s the 25th pledge in the 2023 class and is expected to compete as a safety in Ann Arbor.

247Sports has Hillman listed as the No. 130 player in the country, regardless of position. He’s listed at 6 feet, 1 inch and 191 pounds.
