The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District is offering the Pfizer COVID-19 booster vaccine to eligible children five through 11.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has notified vaccine providers that they should begin to administer the vaccine in line with federal guidance.

The Pfizer COVID-19 booster is administered at least five months after the two-dose primary series has been completed.

Recommendations for immunocompromised children are the following:

  • A two-dose primary series to children 5 through 11

  • A third primary series dose to children 5 through 11 with certain kinds of immunocompromised conditions

  • A single booster dose to children 5 through 11 who have completed a primary series with Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has a COVID-19 vaccine clinic 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Registration is available at tx-wichitafalls3.civicplus.com/2088/COVID-19.
