COVID-19 cases continue falling in Rogue Valley, state

Nov. 3—New COVID-19 cases continued to fall in the Rogue Valley and across Oregon for the past week, according to Oregon Health Authority data.

OHA reported 127 new COVID-19 cases in Jackson County during the past week, compared with 129 cases the week before.

For Josephine County, OHA reported 33 new COVID-19 cases during the past week, down from 59 the week before.

Oregon as a whole dropped to 2,675 new cases for the past week, down from 2,731 the week before, OHA data shows.

No Jackson or Josephine county residents died of COVID-19-related causes during the past week. Oregon recorded two COVID-19-related deaths during that time, OHA said.

Hospitals in Jackson and Josephine counties were caring for 40 patients with the virus as of Wednesday, while hospitals across the state had 230 patients with the virus, according to hospitalization data.
