COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Hits Limit In Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL —Hillsborough County and the city of Tampa’s R3 Emergency Rental Assistance Program has reached its current funding limit and is no longer accepting applications at this time.

Though the program has obligated all of its current funding, additional funding for the program is expected.

At this time, the program has obligated more than $54 million in financial assistance to residents and landlords and approved funding for more than 13,000 applications in Hillsborough County.

Once new funding is available, Hillsborough County and the city of Tampa will reopen the Emergency Rental Assistance Program and begin accepting applications again.

Residents in immediate financial need can seek assistance from the state of Florida’s Our Florida Program for emergency rental assistance.
