The Oklahoma State Department of Health on Monday reported 13,259 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state. Oklahoma's cumulative number of confirmed coronavirus cases during the pandemic now stands at 976,914.
The new cases reported Monday account for data released Sunday and Monday. There were 8,386 new cases reported Sunday. On Monday, there were 4,873 new confirmed cases reported.
The Health Department on Monday reported 123 new coronavirus-related deaths. The state's cumulative number of provisional deaths, as tracked by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, stands at 13,333.
The Health Department on Monday reported a three-day average of 2,142 COVID-19 patients, 95 of whom were children, were in Oklahoma hospital beds, including 411 in intensive care.
In January, Oklahoma reported 267,976 new confirmed coronavirus cases. That is by far the highest total for any month during the pandemic.
On Sunday, the percentage of Oklahomans who are fully vaccinated stood at 55.1%. That's well behind the national rate of 63.8%. Only 12 states have lower vaccination rates than Oklahoma.

There are 2,181,834 Oklahomans who are fully vaccinated, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Among the state's adults, 66.6% are fully vaccinated, and 83.3% have had at least one dose.
In Oklahoma, 765,861 fully vaccinated people have received a booster shot.

More than 5.6 million doses of vaccines have been administered in Oklahoma, including more than 1.5 million doses to Oklahomans 65 and older. The state has used 82.8% of the more than 6.7 million doses delivered to the state, according to the CDC.
