The number of positive COVID-19 tests reported Thursday, April 27, by the Health Department increased by 1,244 since April 20 to a cumulative total of 1,305,398.

The state's provisional death toll during the pandemic stands at 18,236, an increase of 24.

The Health Department on Thursday reported a three-day average of 99 COVID-19 patients, including 11 children, in Oklahoma hospital beds. Those COVID-19 patients included 11 in intensive care.

COVID-19 vaccination status in Oklahoma

On Thursday, the percentage of Oklahomans who have completed the primary series of vaccinations stood at 60.6%. That's well behind the national rate of 69.4%.

There are 2,398,147 Oklahomans who have completed the primary series, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Among the state's adults, 72.3% have completed the primary series of vaccinations, and 89.1% have had at least one dose.

In Oklahoma, 471,447 people have received at least one booster shot.

More than 6.7 million doses of vaccines have been administered in Oklahoma, including more than 1.9 million doses to Oklahomans 65 and older. The state has used 70% of the more than 9.6 million doses delivered to the state, according to the CDC.
