COVID-19 rent and utility relief available in Shelby County
Residents can once again apply for the Shelby County COVID-19 Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program.
Applications reopen each month –and are accepted the first part of each month. Then, applications are processed and funds are distributed during the second part of each month.
Applications are due for this round by June 15.

The program is only for renters residing in Shelby County, including Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Lakeland, Memphis, and Millington.
You must demonstrate all of the following to be eligible:
Someone in the household had a financial loss due to COVID-19
You are past due on your rent or utilities
Your household income is under 80% of the county’s median income
The program can provide past due rent and utility assistance to qualified renters in Shelby County.
Payments will be distributed and made directly to MLGW, the landlord, or the tenant.
Applicants do not need to prove citizenship and social security numbers are not required.
