COVID-19 school data released, county sees 6 deaths Friday

Dec. 17—The Cobb County School District released its weekly COVID-19 numbers Friday, reporting that the district has had 6,709 cumulative COVID-19 cases since the school year began.

The schools with the highest number of active cases this week are Bullard Elementary (11), Lovinggood Middle (9), McEachern High (10) and Walton High (13). As of Friday there were 181 active cases in the district.

Marietta City Schools did not release its weekly COVID-19 data by press time Friday.
