COVID-19 Self-Test Availability At Romeoville Pharmacies

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Earlier this week, Walgreens announced it was instituting a four-item purchase limit on at-home COVID-19 testing products in its stores and online. The decision was based on a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases, according to the Deerfield-based company.

CVS followed suit with its own policy, allowing customers to purchase five at-home COVID-19 tests.

Walgreens locations in Romeoville have at-home COVID-19 testing products like BinaxNow available for in-store purchase, but they can't be purchased for same-day delivery or shipping, as of Thursday morning. As the tests are selling out quickly, the company recommends customers visit their local store to see if it's available.

Walgreens locations in Romeoville include locations at 347 N. Independence Blvd., and 498 N. Weber Road.

Walgreens is hoping the purchase limit will improve inventory, and said it will continue to work with supplier partners to meet customer demands.

Patch couldn't find tests at local CVS stores as of Thursday morning. According to the company's website, they are currently out of stock and not available for shipping at nearby locations.
