COVID-19 'Situation' Keeps Schaumburg License Center Closed
SCHAUMBURG, IL — While Illinois Secretary of State Driver Service facilities are reopening all over the state, one in Schaumburg will remain closed until at least July 2 as a precautionary measure. The office of Secretary of State Jesse White said Thursday the facility at 1227 E. Golf Road will not open due to an unspecified "situation" involving COVID-19.

Drivers are being encouraged to visit the nearest facilities which include Lake Zurich (951 S. Rand Road), Des Plaines (1470 Lee St.) and Elgin (595 S. State St.). These locations will be open and serving only new drivers, customers with expired driver’s licenses/ID cards and vehicle transactions.
