COVID-19: Taylor County adds 39 cases Thursday

The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District on Thursday reported 39 new cases of COVID-19, five of which were confirmed via polymerase chain reaction tests.

Active cases Thursday totaled 1,069 (257 PCR cases and 812 based on antigen tests), down from 1,086 reported Wednesday.

Abilene ISD: Reported Thursday three new cases (one student, two staff) for a total of 163 active student cases and 32 active staff cases.

Wylie ISD: The district is reporting COVID-19 data directly to the health department only.
