COVID-19: Taylor County reports nine cases Friday

The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District on Friday reported nine new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 64 for the week.

Active cases Monday totaled 417 (81 PCR cases and 336 based on antigen tests), down from 609 a week ago.

The percentage of COVID-19 inpatients in the 16-county Abilene trauma service area was 0.12% Sunday, compared to 1.54% the previous Sunday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services COVID-19 database.

State officials are releasing county and trauma service area data on Mondays only.
