Need A COVID-19 Test? Here's Where You Can Get One In Iredell
MOORESVILLE, NC — Iredell County Health Department will soon hold community COVID-19 testing events in Mooresville and Statesville as part of a statewide push to expand testing throughout North Carolina.
Health officials will be testing people with COVID-19 related symptoms, as well as anyone who has been in close contact with a known positive case, at a high risk for exposure or at higher risk for severe disease, regardless if symptoms are present.
Here's a list of the upcoming testing event:
Tuesday, June 30 — Mitchell Community College, West End Avenue entrance, Statesville. 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Wednesday, July 1 — St. Therese Catholic Church, 217 Brawley School Road, Mooresville. 8:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. For more information, call 704-878-5300.
Thursday, July 2 — Mooresville High School, 639 E. Center Street, Mooresville. 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Tuesday, July 7 — Western Avenue Baptist Church, 1206 Museum Road, Statesville. 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Thursday, July 9 — Mooresville High School, 639 E. Center Street, Mooresville. 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

How To Sign Up For A Test
Anyone seeking a test much first complete a virtual visit with StarMed before testing. That website may be found here.
Click the red box "Schedule Virtual Visit." Choose "Iredell County" in the drop-down box and select a virtual visit appointment time. Answer the questions to receive a virtual appointment confirmation email.
During scheduling the virtual appointment, please have insurance information ready. If the patient does not have insurance, they can still be tested.
Who Should Get Tested:
Individuals who live in or have regular contact with high-risk settings (e.g., long-term care facility, homeless shelter, correctional facility, migrant farmworker camp)
Those who are at high risk of severe illness (e.g. people over 65 years of age, people of any age with underlying health conditions)
Individuals who come from historically marginalized populations (e.g., minority populations, individuals of low socio-economic status, etc.)
Healthcare workers or first responders (e.g. EMS, law enforcement, fire department, military)
Front-line and essential workers (grocery store clerks, gas station attendants, etc.) in settings where social distancing is difficult to maintain
