COVID-19 Vaccination In Harford County: How To Preregister

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Harford County Health Department is prescreening those interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

The health department released a form where people can express their interest in getting the vaccine and expedite appointment scheduling.

The form is not registration for vaccination. Instead, it is a tool for screening that will enable health officials to prequalify people for upcoming vaccination clinics.

It is only for people in groups 1A who still need to be vaccinated as well as 1B and 1C:

  • PHASE 1A: Health care workers, first responders, residents and employee of long-term care

  • PHASE 1B:

    • Assisted living or congregate setting residents

    • Age 75 and older

    • Education sector

    • Continuity of government (state, county or local government employees)

  • PHASE 1C:

    • Adults age 65-74

    • Essential workers in lab services, agriculture, manufacturing, and postal service

Here is the form and how it works (at this time, the form is just for those age 75-plus):

  • Fill out the form with information like ZIP code, age, health conditions, etc. The form is only for those age 75 and up at this time. Those who are caretakers or family members of those age 75 and up may fill out the form on their behalf. Those who need help filling out the form may call Harford County Health Administration Director Christopher Morgan at 410-877-1006.

  • A Harford County Health department worker will contact you over the next couple of weeks.

  • The health department will email a link to the email address provided in the form once the availability of the vaccine has been confirmed and vaccine clinics have been scheduled. The link will enable the user to register for a vaccination clinic day and time.

Since it will take time to get to all eligible groups, health officials advise residents to continue to wear masks, keep at least 6 feet of distance between one another and avoid large gatherings.

Harford County has 10,160 confirmed cases and 183 deaths from the coronavirus, state health officials reported Saturday, Jan. 16.
