COVID-19 vaccines available for children 6 months to 5 years old at Immunize El Paso clinics

The new COVID-19 omicron variant XBB.1.5 has been identified in the El Paso community. City health officials are recommending people get a booster vaccine.

Immunize El Paso has been approved to begin offering COVID-19 vaccines for children 6 months to 5 years old.

"We expect parents to visit our clinics and are prepared to provide the COVID

vaccination, Immunize El Paso Director Daniel Acosta said in a news release. "It’s in stock and we will get more throughout the week.”

The vaccines are available at the group's three clinics by appointment or walk-in. All clinics are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Eastside and Central El Paso clinics are also open 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
