COVID cases plateau in Jackson County

Jun. 3—The Oregon Health Authority reported 399 new COVID-19 cases in Jackson County for the past week, a number virtually unchanged from the 404 cases the previous week.

Jackson County averaged 57 cases daily for the past week. During that time, OHA reported no COVID-19-related deaths in the county.

OHA reported 110 new COVID-19 cases in Josephine County for the past week, down from 130 cases during the prior week. Josephine County had one COVID-19-related death during the past week.

Statewide, OHA reported 9,427 new COVID-19 cases for the past week and nine COVID-19-related deaths. Cases are down from the prior week's count of 11,128 cases.

Across Oregon, 316 hospital patients had the virus Friday.

Hospitals in Jackson and Josephine counties were caring for 28 patients with the virus Friday.
