COVID In New Jersey: Parents Allowed To Attend Youth Sporting Events

Gov. Phil Murphy signed an executive order allowing parents in New Jersey back into school sporting events.

- Meantime, Governor Murphy has signed an executive order allowing parents in New Jersey back into school sporting events. Two parents or guardians per athlete are now allowed to attend indoor and outdoor events. The indoor attendance is capped at 35% capacity, or 150 people. All social distancing guidelines for indoor activities must be followed.

The governor says it'll be up to the leagues and schools if they want to let fans back into the stands at all. Murphy says he is dropping the restrictions because COVID cases and hospitalizations are dropping around New Jersey.
