COVID Test Site At Ocean County College At Capacity Wednesday

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The COVID-19 test site at Ocean County College has reached capacity Wednesday and is not accepting any additional patients, the Ocean County Health Department announced.

The drive-thru test site was at capacity for the day before testing started at 10 a.m., as officials sent out a notice that it would not accept more patients shortly after 10 a.m. Officials said vehicles were lined up waiting well before the clinic was set to open.

COVID-19 tests have been difficult to find amid a rapid rise in cases and increased testing as a result of holiday gatherings and travel.

The health department said the OCC test site, which does not require appointments, will reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday and will remain open until it has reached capacity.
